Board of Directors & Staff

doug Doug Landin – Chairman, Board of Directors

Doug’s love for cars and all things motorized began at birth, and he’s been tinkering, tweaking, tricking out and driving cars all over the country ever since. Currently a Land Rover owner of a KTM 990 Adventure, Doug Landin is a New York native but has lived in Vail for 35 years – making him essentially a local (it takes that long). He taught skiing for 22 years and has been a real estate broker with Slifer, Smith & Frampton Real Estate since 1995. He currently serves as Chairman for the Vail Board of Realtors and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Vail Automotive Classic.

Gene Bygd – Board of Directors

Gene has always had an interest in cars.  He has restored two Mustangs, (65 Hardtop, and a 66 Hardtop); four Corvettes, (70 Coupe, 71 Convertible, 64 Convertible/Hardtop and a 1958 Convertible/Hardtop.  He has been a member of North Central Chapter of the National Corvette Restorers Society, (“NCRS”), since 1988 and was President of that organization for 3 years.  He Co-chaired the National NCRS event in St. Paul, MN in 1996.  He is currently a member of r the Rocky Mountain Chapter of NCRS, and the Summit County Cars and Coffee and Vail Cars and Coffee.  He currently owns a 1958 Corvette Convertible/Hardtop and a 2008 Corvette Convertible.  He lives in Silverthorne, with his wife Fraser Buchanan.

Rich T Rich tenBraak – Board of Directors

One of the less outspoken but very productive members of the Board, Rich loves to travel and is the quintessential outdoorsman. Vail provides the perfect landscape for his love of four-wheeling, and he often takes his Range Rover out to the back country to camp. While his wife drives a fuel efficient Prius, he also has a Honda Shadow cruiser and a KTM EXC 450 dirt bike. He started dirt biking as a kid and quickly developed an affinity for anything with a motor and wheels. Rich has traveled extensively both nationally and internationally and hopes someday to own a 1969 Camero Convertible RS/SS. Anyone selling??

Taylor Slaugh – Marketing/PR & Event Coordinator

Taylor has been “herding” this crew since 2012 and keeps the behind the scenes show planning, marketing, PR, and operations moving forward each year. Taylor brings over 20 years of experience serving clients from multiple industries in marketing, branding, and events to the Vail Automotive Classic. She is not a total “gearhead” yet, but will be before we are done with her.

Erinn Hoban – Sponsorship Sales & Relations

Erinn brings over 10 years of sales experience and relationship skills to the VAC Sponsorship side of things. She enjoys the challenge that the sales process presents while also allowing her to meet new people from a variety of industries.
